Bike Trails
Pryor’s Bicycle/Pedestrian System will provide safe and convenient facilities for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, in-line skaters, and wheelchair users. The bicycle/pedestrian facilities will connect residential areas to significant outdoor recreation areas, lakes, and parks.
Grand Cherokee State Park Golf Course
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Pensacola Dam, the course offers tree-lined fairways, bent grass greens, and a spectacular view of the dam.
Grand Lake O' the Cherokees
Located in Northeast Oklahoma on the Grand River in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. It has lots to offer, with five state parks along the scenic shoreline, as well as many privately operated commercial marinas, restaurants, motels and fishing guides.
Lake Hudson
Located on Grand River between Markham Ferry Dam near Locust Grove and Pensacola Dam at Langley. In the Heart of Oklahoma’s Green Country, Lake Hudson is “Oklahoma’s best kept secret”. Only an hour from Tulsa, the lake offers secluded beaches, clear water, and year ‘round recreational pleasures.
Pryor Creek Golf Course
This 18-hole community course is cited by many to be one of the best municipal courses in the region.The course features bent grass greens and Bermuda grass tree-lined fairways.
Pryor Creek Nature Trail
A nature trail south of Pryor, along Pryor Creek, with hiking and mountain biking trails for walking, jogging and bicycling. The primary trailhead is located on Elliott St south of Pryor.
Spavinaw State Park
A relatively small park located on Spavinaw Lake. The park offers camping, fishing, picnic areas and swimming. The nearby Spavinaw Wildlife Management area allows hunting and hiking.
W.R. Holway Reservoir
Located off of Highway 82 between Salina and Locust Grove. The Reservoir is also known as Chimney Rock Reservoir or Pump Back Lake. With 21 miles of shoreline and 712 surface acres.
