Networking
At the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce, we understand that there are always ways to be involved and to support your local community! Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Volunteer at The Pryor Chamber Office
The PACC is always looking for volunteers to help out around the office. Duties would include answering phones, taking messages, filing paperwork or helping with events. This is a great opportunity for any scholarships that might require any amount of community service. Please see below for the volunteer signup form.
Join a Class or Group
There are always new classes and groups to join in our community. You can join one of our local health clubs such as MACO Fitness (Mayes County Fitness). This group is put on by the Mayes County HOPE Coalition. People of any age meet once a week and take walks throughout the community.
There are always new classes forming at the Mayes County Cultural Center. They host a variety of classes ranging from painting to craft making. The organizing is done by the Pryor Area Arts and Humanities Council.
Also, be sure to check out the Pryor Creek Recreation Center for any classes they may be offering. Classes range from ZUMBA to Martial arts to Aerobic Classes.
Donate your resources:
Clothes and household goods to Goodwill, The Pryor Ministry Center, Local thrift stores, Safenet Services or Kingdom Kloset
Food to Pryor's Food Bank
Bed linens to the Pryor Ministry Center
Food, cleaning supplies, and bedding to your local animal shelter: Pryor Animal League (PAL), Rockin' G Animal Shelter, Saving Whiskers & Tails.
Shop Locally
Support your local businesses by avoiding Big Box Stores and shopping locally! Enjoy any of our downtown Boutiques, antique stores, and restaurants.
Look for Local Events
Keep an eye on our local news outlets, The Paper, or the Pryor Information Publication for upcoming events. Whether it’s a music and arts festival, a performance by your local dance troupe, or a special presentation such as an outdoor movie viewing, GO! This is a great way to show your support for our community.
